Mesut Timur

I am a security engineer at Databricks, where I focus on product security and agentic systems. Previously, I held security engineering roles at Facebook and Microsoft, working across vulnerability research and software security. Today, I am especially interested in how AI is reshaping the way we build and secure modern systems.

My interest in technology started early. At 13, I began programming on my first computer, an Intel Celeron 600, learning Visual Basic 6 before picking up HTML, JavaScript, ASP, and PHP. I studied Computer Science Engineering at Gebze Technical University and started my career in vulnerability research and blackbox web app scanning at Netsparker.
